Voltage Drop & Breaker Coordination

Review voltage drop and preliminary breaker coordination inputs together when assessing a feeder or branch-circuit design.

What this utility does

This utility combines voltage-drop calculation inputs with a preliminary coordination reference so designers can identify values that deserve further review.

How to use

  1. Enter the circuit, conductor, load, and protective-device inputs requested.
  2. Review the calculated voltage-drop result and coordination indicators.
  3. Confirm final conductor sizing, breaker selection, and coordination using the actual installation and manufacturer data.

Practical notes

  • Installation method, conductor temperature, length, power factor, and load characteristics can materially affect results.
  • Coordination cannot be proven from generic current values alone when manufacturer time-current data is required.
